Our History
Pro Inspection Ltd. acquired Optic Q.A. Inc. This acquisition allowed Pro Inspection to offer a more robust service by adding mechanical and electrical inspections using the same established inspectors and managers that Optic’s customers were accustomed to. Optic Q.A. Inc. had been in business, and a long-time partner of Pro Inspection, since 1985.
Pro Inspection’s services and expertise were demanded in the American Market. Pro Inspection’s new president James Milner is directing Pro TPI Inc using the same great inspectors and trusted contractors expanding Pro into the United States of America.
James Milner was promoted to President of Pro Inspection Ltd. Barry Steffen remains involved with the company in the capacity of Chairman.
Pro Inspection Ltd. expanded its services to include steel line pipe manufacturing surveillance and inspection services in Western Canada. Building a reputation that began to speak for itself, surveilling and auditing manufacturing facilities.
Handling in-shop and field coating inspection of piping, component structures, tubular inventory condition and more. Pro is who you call to inspect your material to ensure it is made to your specifications. Providing qualified and trained technical inspectors for projects of all sizes.
Pro Inspection Ltd. was incorporated by founder Barry Steffen. He had a dream to provide professional pipe and coating inspection services to environmentally sensitive projects in the Canadian Oil and Gas Industry.

To further enhance our safety initiatives, we also employ a full-time National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) ensuring expert oversight and the implementation of best practices across all operations.
